Dunedin picks up another 100 tonnes this season. Melbourne passes an important audit with flying colours.
Another 100 tonnes for DUNEDIN
The number of lobsters being landed by Fiordland Lobster in CRA8 has increased significantly this year, thanks to picking up Live Lobster Southland’s market share, plus the 5% TACC increase.
During peak landing periods, we’re moving product from the Riverton depot to be swum and packed in Dunedin. This allows us to take more product through the supply chain to market when demand is strongest. We expect to put 100 tonnes of CRA8 product through Dunedin this season.
Garry Broomhall, Dunedin Factory Manager is pleased with how things are running: “Our small dedicated Dunedin team is working in well together to put through the extra volumes this year.”
MELBOURNE passes audit
The Melbourne plant recently had its annual audit by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. John Havos, Victorian and South Australia Manager, is pleased to report that it passed with no issues at all, a credit to the standards maintained by Melbourne team. The next audit will be in May 2020.
