In November, Allan Palacio (Supervisor) and Isaac Lee (Lead Hand) representing Auckland FLC attended the Seafood Standards Council Technical Workshop Programme.
The programme entailed an overview of the regulatory system with MPI, what and who are the Seafood Standards Council, current updates on Science and Research, and an overview on auditing requirements in regards to COP’s and operators responsibilities. This also allowed time for questions to be directed to Cathy Webb representing Seafood New Zealand. The workshop was informative and well received with both Allan and Isaac taking away a better understanding of how different corporate bodies work together within the seafood sector.
